ACUPUNCTURE
An ancient medicine that uses very thin, one time use needles placed along meridians, trigger points, and motor points to activate Qi (energy) and blood in the body. A blend of western orthopedics with ancient Chinese meridian theory is used to bring the body back to its most optimal state.
CUPPING
Glass or plastic cups are placed on areas of tension that need increased circulation. A suction is formed between the cup and the body, pulling up on the fascia and muscles to unwind the taut bands. Considered a deep tissue massage in reverse, it works well to break up myo-fascial adhesions and to promote lymph circulation in the body.
KINESIOLOGY TAPE
Waterproof, elastic cotton strip with an adhesive is applied to the skin to help with stability, pain, edema, and scar tissue. Can be left on for up to 5 days.
ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE
Non-painful application of mild electricity to 2-4 needles in areas that need extra attention. Relaxing their contraction and increasing micro-circulation and thus oxygenation to accelerate the cellular healing response of the tissue and reducing inflammation. The sensation felt is like a slight tapping.
GUA SHA
A smooth tool is rubbed along the skin's surface creating a physiological response that increases circulation and reduces inflammation. It relieves congestion and tight muscles.
